ok I have chatted with 2 case collectors I know and neither of them could tell me much about my tractor other than parts are unavailable for the continental diesel (rings and bearings)..I had bought this tractor to fix and use but if things are that scarce I might have to go a diff route..how many utility diesels did they make?..this is the square front and not the round front sheet metal...thanks for any help on this

If it's a 300B utility diesel, Tractor Data puts production at 64 total built from 58-59. For parts definitely use John Saeli.

I am curious if the bottom end parts such as sleeves and pistons would cross over to a continental gas??? I have a friend that did an IH 350 Diesel with a continental diesel in it and we ended up using parts from a 33 Massey Harris gas. Piston, bearings, rings were all the same as the diesel version. Just a different head.

I have been told that the IH Continental Diesel is almost exactly the same engine as the Case Continental Diesel. For a week everyone has been telling you how rare these things are. Last week I told you that I have a source that has new old stock parts for these engines. If you were serious about this tractor it seems to me that you should be pounding my door down!! There is nothing in it for me. I will give you his information and leave the rest up to you. I do not feel it is right to post his information here for all the world to see.
