Mechanically Inclined but knowledge impaired. How do I check the Hydraulic fluid in my 1956 Case 410. Under the seat it appears there is a breather. It looks like someone added a tee and an elbow to be able to leave the breather in place while filling. Is this indeed the filler? Is there a fill level plug or do I fill all the way to the top?

You may fill it at the breather plug as you mention or on the bottom right (as you sit on the tractor) you will see a 3/4 inch plug you could fill there. The quarter inch plug below the 3/4 inch plug is the level checker plug.Hope I have not confused you. gobble
