That many oats makes me feel itchy from 2000 miles away. Finished mine a week ago.

How do oats yield out your way? This year mine averaged 75, had a lot of areas where the 13' header was all I wanted on my 550(chest high, probably 125 bushel). Some weak poor ones in wet low fertility areas, also had a bunch that the deer and bear knocked down to nothing. All averages out I guess.

Tom great pictures and good looking oats. Around here not much oats made, the elevator doesnot what them, so I would need to truck to the Andersons in Toledo.

Tom!! In that last pic, the man on the left looks like a perfect gentleman, but sure wouldn't want to meet that brute on the right in a dark alley!!
What do you use for a baler & how do you pick the bales up?

the squares I had my cuz bale as he helps me deliver them, we also used his tractor to load the on the trailer, that day I handled well over 800 of those darn things, I did not take a pic of him baling, he uses my 730 on his 327 JD baler, as far as Adrian the man from the UK he is very nice but you are right about that raccoon eyed guy

looks like your keepin busy and coming along good. nice looking pictures, I like the couple with the Pronghorn. Thats quite the loader on that Farmall, looks like it works good for picking up bales. Did my mail make it yet?

Nice Pics Tom, oats look real good, I don't know if the corn will make it. Do you recall how many day maturity it is? Are the oats stored on the farm for very long? Rod.

I will have to look Rod on the date, the Oat stubble makes it look small as the stubble is up to the Antelope belly's after I cut the Oats, most of it is 6' tall or so and has a couple ears on each stalk, at what I looked at, needs a drink for sure, the pics are from last night all taken at the same time

That is a nice looking field of oats, free of weeds. Always enjoy the pictures, and love seeing pronghorn. How do you feel the corn will turn out this year for you?

73 C 600, 361 2 barrel, 41xxx miles 4x2 Schwartz hoist with two way cylinder, all steel bed, this is the first year I have really put miles on it, seems to get decent mileage as well compared to my Chevy with a 366 4 barrel

the Corn is just wishful planting as I want to run Corn thru my 660 someday, it may not even get dry enough to bin before the wild life eats it lol

I thought that Duncan you got on the DC was a contraption, but that thing on that "M" is something else!! Are they able to slide the spears under the bales without any trouble?

Note the twines are not on the ground and the teeth of the farmhand loader slide right under the bales. Stacked many of alfalfa bales at $1 per hour. Farmer I worked for had a JD A with a farmhand loader. Would bring you 12 or so bales at a time to the stack.

Out west here they were popular loader. We have one that came mounted on a Farmall M we bought brand new in 1950 and that picture would be us about 50 years ago cause that's how we stacked hay. They would lift high enough to dump the load on your lap. One lever ran all the functions too. Good loader for time.

another shot of it, out here this was the "farm loader" you can do a Lot of work with one, this model has a 21' lift height, never knew everyone did not have one lol

Tom always enjoy seeing the "flagship" out stretching her legs. Enjoyed the night picture too, boy did that bring back memories of the old "47 Dodge we had getting loaded from the "1660"s we had

Thanks for the post Tom

Still waiting here, Tom. After the 4.75" of rain this past weekend we got more last nite. Only got .45, but west of here 60 miles they got 7 and 8" of rain. Hopefully drier next week.

Steve, I sure hate to hear that I do not like "sitting out the rain" I am on my last truck load or two here today. elevator in town is all but full I am going to try to put these last two in my bin, I think I have room, a shot from last nights sunset

Hey John someone told me they seen you at a boat dealers measuring to see if you could mount your combine on a pontoon boat....lol

Actually the boat idea didn't work out. We are in the process of mounting harvesting equipment to a helicopter.
