930 first time pulling

I've never pulled my 930,but going to farm stock pull next week.Last fall she pulled 4-16 in 3rd or 4th low range that being said not sure if I should ttry 1st or 2nd in low range. Any advice ? Thanks a lot guys!
 
We always pulled our 8 speed in third. Ours has 20.8X 38 rubber and no weights or fluid, runs pretty good. Anything slower just spins out.

Same here but with a 1030. 4th is a little too fast, 3rd is good for lugging.

I take off all my front weights and with dry Badyear 18.4-34's squeeze into the 9500 4020 class and make them cry
 
My 930 diesel is stout as Heck in 3rd. I don't do this but I have heard of people pulling 5 or 6-16 and 20 ft equipment in 3rd with a 930 diesel

For years I pulled a green 6-16 semi-mount, 1030 didn't complain much either!
 
I run mine in 9000 farm stock in low 3rd with 23.1 34s and will end up spinning out 95% of the time.
 
I've been pulling my 830 with loaded 20.8-38's and 6 front Case weights in 2nd and it will still spin the tires, and lift the front end about 2 feet off the ground, you should have no problem in 3rd.

3rd is the gear. 4th is too fast and you won't have enough power but third should work about right. If they have a speed limit watch close because around here you have to back off just a bit in thirt=d til it starts to pull good.
