530 case remove the main drive shaft

I am trying to remove the the main drive shaft This mach has no PTO One end has the oil plug inside the rearend the other end has snap rings seals ect which I have removed but still can"t remove the shaft I am stumped

You can knock the plug out with a long rod from the front, Case supplies dealers with special tools to remove the shaft by driveing the shaft front out of the rear bearing. They also make a spacer for bretween the gears to keep from damaging the rear shaft bearing by keeping the rear bearing back while driving. If you drive the shaft front without the spacer the bearing will be ruined by first gear bottom shaft.
