5.9 in ag tractor

I was wondering how many of the Caseih chassis ran the 5.9 cummins or a CDC motor that would have the same bolt pattern as 5.9 cummins. Thinking about building a hot farm pulling tractor and the cummins parts are a lot easier to come by than a 504 go fast parts

Real Cases were the 1896 and the 2096 and then the little 51xx and 52xx series Maxxums.Thats all I can think of right now.

The 18-2096 series used a special adapter housing to mate the 5.9 to the old case engine pattern bell housing, Using those parts should make the internal hookup fairly easy although you will outgrow the powershift's ability to handle the power if you are serious about big HP. At any rate some ingenutiy can probably rig up a dry or slipper clutch to the engine.

The real Case power boys easily outgrow the powershift simply because the main clutch is internal to the powershift and slipping the mainclutch at the line is how takeoff boost is obtained and one run will smoke a C2 used in that application.

Spoken from experience helping a friend get set up years ago.

And MX 100, 120,135,150,170s. Combines.. 2144 & 2344s & I think late 1640s. Also early production Mcormick tractors?
