SC CASE Miles Per Gallon?

How many mpg will a late model SC get on a road trip, not pulling a load?

I haven't checked mine yet; do they burn two gallons/hour?

We used to have one on a well, running belt pulley. High idle, and it never burned over 3/4 gallon per hour. Had it set up on propane.

I do not have a late model SC but mine (1949) gets 8.5 mpg at 13 mph. 14 gallon tank about 119 miles a fill up but my advice look for a gas pump at 110 miles

Thanks Pastor. What size rear tires do you have that you're going 13 mph. I think it's more like 10.5 mph with 12.4s as per owner's manual.

I have just regular 38" tires. I did a sprocket change in the rear end and increased the governor a little (about 1750 rpm) and I get a solid 15MPH.

I give some of those green tractors a run for their money.

15 mph thats great. Im jealous, my 930 gas w/loader gets about 2 miles to the gallon. On the road

That's not bad. My son took his C to FFA drive your tractor to school day. I think it got around 3 mpg. Of course, it only has a top speed of about 6 mph.
