Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could help me with a problem. I own a 1958 case 411-b, with a case-o-matic transmission, and a G-148 engine. The tractor has a lot of hours but runs decent for its age. My problem is the M/S carb that is currently on ti is a TXS749 and it has a crack in the upper body. It has probably at one time been subjected to water freezing in it. Someone has epoxied it and it does work but leaks. I want to replace it and after looking at three different manuals, and lots of web sites it seems there are three different marvel numbers to choose from. 1) TXS616, 2)TXS635, and 3)TXS749. What is the difference in the three? With a lot of hours, and wear on this machine, would a carb with a smaller venturi or main jet size be better? Thanks Jay...
