SC CASE....No Power!

As I posted on Tractor Talk, I am getting my SC running after sitting (inside) for about four years. After cleaning the mag points & contacts it now has spark. I also blew out all openings in the carb (made a new bowl gasket too). Tractor starts right up but has very sluggish throttle response & will barely make it up a slight grade in high gear. Throttle linkage and governor mechanism have good travel. I would say there's good gas flow to the carburetor. New gas. Air cleaner is clear.

Any suggestions?

What year is your SC? The pre-1952 intake/exhaust manifolds have problems with rust-out, which causes gas leakage from the exhaust to the intake. This will cause the problems that you are describing.
