are they a replacement insert bearing for the crank and rod or do you have to go back with babitt bearings i was wondering

I copied this from previous posts on the topic: 1. John Saeli keeps a re-babbitted set of mains for $200.00 exchange. However, they will need to be installed in the block & "line bored". Another consideration is the 4 Connecting Rods as they are babbitted also.
2. I had mains done in May. $374.40 to have them poured, line bored and all fit. Harkin Machine in Watertown SD.
I've read where some tractor pullers have had shell bearings fitted in high compression engines, but it's going to be pricey. Do a search here for "DC Bearings" and you may find more information.
