some of my weathered tractor steering wheels leave my hands filthy blak after a long hot afternoon ,,,,, I am certain you fellas can relate ,, is there any good ideas to cure the problem ,, ? I am thinkin , to wash them down with gas , then simple green , then shellack with clear polyurethane ??,, but,for now , I am still in the hay field ,, got one more farm to cut,,hoping that august will give me some slow time ,,

Have yet to try it yet, but I once read on the Farmall page, to buy spray-on pickupbed liner at the autoparts store, and apply that.

We just sand and grind out any cracks then fill with bondo glass and paint with black gloss enamel spray cans..
We have steering wheels from the 80"s still look good. Nick

I would rather my hands turn black then have the wheel jump out of my hand. I HATE slick stering wheels.
