What was the first tractor to offer factory power steering?

When I was a kid my dad bought a Behlem power steering unit for
our Farmall M in 1952, but it was after market. Our 1952 DC had
no such option. I think the first tractor I saw with factory power
steering was a 1955 Ferguson 35. Our 1955 Case 400 didn't have
it. Did the Big Case 600 offer power steering in 1954? Was that the
first tractor with factory power steering?

I might be wrong on this but Deere might have had power steering in 1954. The numbered series started in 1953 but I've heard power steering wasn't offered in the numbered series till the next year which would be 1954. Correct me if I'm wrong. Jim

(quoted from post at 21:49:46 07/17/14) Power steering or power assist? Technical everything listed so far is power assist.
Technically yes. The Draft-O-Matic 430/530 was the first with hydrostatic steering, I think that was 1964?

Some of the heavy industrial tractors from Twin City claimed to have a factory power steering option in the 1920's - supposedly they were too heavy on front steel to maneuver without it. Not sure how it worked.

(quoted from post at 22:27:16 07/17/14) First for Case? The JD 4010/3010 introduced in the fall of 1960 had full power steering.
Let's not start a color war here or I'll ask you who couldn't get rid of the highly dated 2 lungger design or figure out draft control.............

Color war? I own 2 Case 500s, one L, 600 combine, SP 12 combine, and a CE engine. I also own several IHs, JDs, a Massey 55, Gambles 30, and Oliver 99. I like most tractors which is why I have a variety collection and I study them and the history behind them. I can bash down a JD just as thoroughly as a Case. Take your pick. The guy asked who had the first power steering and I posted what I know. Don't assume I champion just JD because my name is Greenenvy.
