Backwards steering Case VAI

so the steering on my Case VAI is backwards. when i turn the wheel to the left the tractor goes to the right i have take the steering shaft out and the worm gear looks to be in great condition. Has anyone else heard of this happening or know how to fix it thanks!!

somebody changed the steering box out with one off a vac. They work backwards.

The steering box needs to match the type of front end that is installed on the tractor. The wide front VAI tractors have steering arm facing inward (toward the tractor centerline) and the narrow front VAC tractors have it facing outward (out from the tractor centerline). Thus, the worm must be wound in the opposite direction for the two setups, and the steering gear must match.

so in other words i need to find a worm and steering gear from a wide front VA tractor to fix this problem??
