Ok went and found that the case ih dealer gave us the wrong bottom valve body gasket, changed that rebuild the c2 shuttle valve ball new Oring cleaned everything. We put everything back together now with clutch released the three point raises good pressure at the remotes did the pressure check on the Trans c1 185psi at idle c2 185 at idle c3 185at idle c4 185 at idle 60 psi lube at idle drives good shifts good but when you shove the clutch down the Trans pressure stays good but no three point and no pressure at the remotes. Any ideas?

I am still pondering on that problem, LOL. The tractor in the above post does the same thing. Some day I will check it out. Rod.

Would it be possible to get the clutch spool 180 degrees out? Today we had the valve off the reverse lock out was working before we took it off after we put it back no reverse lock out. We got to looking and the shifting spool had turned 180 degrees and would not let the lockout catch. Just a thought! May try turning it tomorrow.

Yes there is a machined land on the spool which catches the rev. lockout. Has to be positioned correctly. Even turn the wrong way I do not think it affects the hyds.

Have you guys ever seen a pilot spool valve bypass oil around itself? Took the c4 pilot spool out and it felt really loose in its bore, you could move it side to side more than you should be able to. We compared it to one we got used and in good shape you could see there was a difference by looking. We try to put the good one in the c4 bore now it wants to hang and stall the engine when you try to start the tractor. Would the bad pilot spool hold back enough oil to activate c4 but let oil bypass when you held the inching in the down position, the oil bypassing would keep the hydraulics from working? The old spool looked like someone had sanded on it.

I found a pilot spool once that had been machined down so much the hyd's were slow when that one was activated. So yes leakage can occur past the pilot. If you have excessive leakage in C-4 the hdy's should be slow with powershift in rev and clutch up also.
