I had a CASE collector call me over the weekend about his DC he has about 12 of them. So I think knows what he is talking about. His question was about his serial number on a DC he just bout. He said both numbers matched serial tag and on the bell housing and that number is DC23764 not enough numbers but that is all that is their. The tractor has the curved steering arm and eagle hitch. What is you guy"s input on this?

Thanks Bruce

a curved steering arm puts it 50-51 or later depending what it has on it, live pto/hyd, foot clutch ect, seen him ask about this too, I have seen them stamped bad and very hard to see all #'s but with both the same makes you wonder for sure, he could try for a build card but with out 7 digits I am thinking they will say the same thing need more #'s interesting to say the least, no special builds as far as I know had less digits sorry no help here from me

Grab a picture of the tag! There has to be numbers either left off or stamped real light

This is the same one I posted about the other day. Everybody thought I was crazy. My good friend and I know how to read a number. The tag does not look like it has ever been messed with.

My DC# is #8025000.
On the engine flange she is stamped DC25000
There is no data plate.

On the build card the 25000 is stamped. Someone wrote 80 in front of it.

Since teh us of 8o was still fairly new maybe they hadn't yet set on a policy for marking things.

Mine was built 6 Jan 1953, Live PTO hydraulics and curved chicken roost

Well, that makes sense! Wonder if the tag got replaced at some time in it's life? 8023764 makes more sense.
