ID year of tractor

Friend just bought a DC tractor and we can't figure out the year. The serial plate has DC 23764 and the flange matches also. It has the mechanical bail lift that runs off the pto. I know some of you will say we missed some numbers. We didn't and everything is original. Thanks for any help wit this. Bill

You ARE missing a number. I would guess there should be a 5 in front.

He's actually missing 2 numbers; all D series had 7 digit serial numbers and he only shows 5.

Five is all there is on this tractor.I know there should be more. Bill

The serial number is usually found in two places. One on the lower part of block, left side, near the split line. And also on the serial plate, on dash. This often has the first number(or 2) obscured by the rivet that holds the plate. My DC is 5527630, but first "5" doesn"t show on the serial.
