Case 480CK Rockshaft Piston Question

I am going to replace the piston seals and o-rings on the rockshaft piston. I have the manual, however, do I need to actually remove the arms and the rockshaft to pull/push the piston out, or can I pull or push the piston out to replace the piston seals without removing the lift arms and the rockshaft? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks, that it what I thought, but was hoping for some good news. Any tricks to getting the arms off and the shaft out? How do I determine which end is the tapered end to knock out the shaft? Thanks for any help.

I literally did this job yesterday on my 530. The arms are just held on by the bolt on the end of the shaft. the arms should just slide of the rockshaft splines. as for the rockshaft itself, it should actually be semi loose so if it doesn't slide easy one way, just try the other way, should slide right out.
