1070 power shift update

I adjusted the c3 retard adjuster slightly but there was no change when pushing the clutch in when cold. Tried more than one position w/adjuster screw but there was no change. Put the adjusting screw back where it was originally. Tractor still stopped fairly quickly when pushing the clutch in when cold no matter where the adjusting screw was. There is a clank when power shifting from 3 to 2 in 3rd range but it does shift good & in every range & every power shift gear. Tractor stops normal when oil is warmed up. Is the clank something to worry about?

Thanks,
Dennis

D,

I would count turns and mark the cap precisely where the slot is and back it out a couple turns.

Try that with the #2 retard screw, here's why.

If you are in lo range the C1 and C2 are working together. That it improves with oil temperature would still indicate a retard issue but with # 2 clutch. The only thing that clouds my thinking a bit is that C2 is also the master clutch and I'm not totally sure that the pilot spool is retarded during clutching or if it is controlled directly by the spool. Maybe one of the other powershift guys will weigh in on this and help me out. I'm thinking that once the modulation for starting out is accomplished the spools retard rate is then set by #2 retard screw as well.

Are you getting an engine grunt between first powershift and second when cold as well, if so turn 2 back a good bit and let me know what happens
