Trying out the new floor

We poured the floor in the new shed this week and the grandkids had to try it out. New concrete just begs for some black marks and they were happy to supply some. They are sure going to be disappointed when the cement cures enough to put the machinery back in.

Sure is a nice shed, what size did you build?

Kids look like they are really "demoing" it!

It is a 48"x120" with 18" walls. It sure is nice to be able to drive the combine in without having to fold the hopper extension down. I have three 60"s vintage sheds that are too small for almost all of my current machinery and one nice but too small machine shed/shop on a rented farm a couple miles down the road. Far too much machinery setting outside. The new shed also has two large south facing doors so it can be used for a cattle shed if I decide to feed cattle here again. But my wife likes the lower fly population around the house since the cattle are gone so it may remain dedicated completely to machinery. I could convert one of the old machine sheds on the rented farm to facilitate cattle.
