It is Amish. Look at the tire treads bolted to steel wheels. No longer odd in these parts of NY.
I blew out a front idler on my Kubota KX41 trackhoe. Price at my Kubota dealer to fix it was ridiculous. We have an Amish machine shop, here locally, with 4 fulltime machinests. All the laths, boring machines, drill presses, power hacksaws, and other machine tools are driven by air motors, powered by a big diesel powered air compressor. They also have a JD 4020 on steel wheels, with a homemade front mtd. forklift to unload freight trucks.
Anyway,, It amazes me to what extents these people go to to remain tru to religious beliefs.
I'm glad to see them here, as they give us an alternative to gov. regulated busineses, and related costs for doing business here in NY.
CASH Talks, and BS walks.

Well, I don't get it either. We have mannny sects here, from traditional, all steel wheels, wind powered water systems, to moderats with one metal wheel on an implement, and and old tires bolted to steel wheeled tractors, to families who have drivers licences and drive black minivans.
Just glad to see all of them here because they are stewards of the land and the more land they own the less land the Cityiots will be able to buy up and dictate what we can do with our land.
Last summer we had to rally as locals to fight off the Cityiots who wanted to mandate regulations on what we could do with our homes, as far as remodels, paint, landscaping etc. Also they wanted stringent controls on farm operations such as spreading manure, spraying, and dust and noise control.
Us natives had to mount a vigorous compain to stop this BS as the Cityiots partictioned the State Dept of Parks & Recreation to deam our whole township a " Historical District" within the state of NY. I'm sure you can see the ramifications of this.
We had to go to every landowner in the town with a Notary, and get a letter of opposition with signatures opposing this partition. My wife was one of the notarys and without the Amish comunity we would not have been able to fend off this invasion of our rural life and rights.
Our oponents are wealthy retired, with lots of money and time, and could care less about anyone born and brought up here, makeing a liveing in this town.
Sorry for the rant, Loren.

There was a drunk man walked into a bar carrying a set of yumper cables and the bar keep told him he better not start anything in here.

Getting that way about everywhere in the state now, Loren. Upstate used to be a bastion of sanity as opposed to the downstate morass of idiocy, but no more. Upstate is now thoroughly infested with downstaters like a bunch of stinkin' lice. They gripe about tractor noise, tractors leaving a little mud in the road, they gripe about the smell of cows and cow manure, the smell of silage, balelage, and about anything they can think of. They couldn't care less about our way of life. A pox on em all.

Loren,it ain't ah rant it's ah fact! Back-en-the-day the cityslickers would complain about the smell. Dad said stop drink'en milk and the smell will go away along with the cornflakes and everything else you stuff in your mouth!!! God Bless the people that feed the world.

We have lots of Old Order Amish up here, buggies, steel wheels, etc. A lot of people simply hate them just because they seem to have nothing else to do but hate them. Myself, I've had good and bad dealings with Amish. They turn out to be just like the rest of us- humans.

I'll tell you this much, I'd lots rather have a mess of Amish families move into my area and take over old farm land, pay taxes, improve that area than a mess more welfare rats and 20 somethings on "disability" move into my area and destroy whats left of our little town.

The citiots? Try living inside the Adirondack Park if you want know it all citiots! That's why I moved out.

It's a pony start motor. Big Deal. The green with yellow wheel diesels had them. Maybe the owner wanted to experience having a pony motor tractor. This fit the bill without the expense or embarrassment that comes with owning green.

wow such blathering ....should have not sent the picture.... I just thought it was kinda neat..then they gotta start talkin about kubotas.. somebody say they cant have a Kubota dealer in Nebraska..cuz Kubota wont submit their junk to the test grounds...zat true??
