1030 504 engine swap

What are you guys that have done this using doing with the power steering. I swapped a 504 into a 1030 but don't know what to do with the power steering.

Why not put on a crank drive pump, and use a hydro off of an old combined. Working on this with a 830 right now. Bruce

Yeah I need to do something like that, you can't turn this without something assisting you.

i assume you are talkimg about the pump , i split the hyd line coming out of the hyd filter ,put in a valve body that has a preasure setting ran the power steering lines to it , return went to back of the tractor where you pour in oil ,it works good hope this helps tom in ky

To be more clear on this. I still have all the 1030 steering parts on the tractor, but no where to mount the factory pump.

Not sure what your stock pump is like, but here is how we mounted the pump on the 336 that we put in our 830. Welded a pulley to the back of the water pump pulley to drive it.
