I have case 224 garden tractor that can"t get gas. gas goes in block but not to piston. Spark plug is dry. Compression is 45 psi. Any help would be great. Thank-you

problem is most likely very low compression from warped head? head gasket? broken piston? valves not sealing. no compression means no suction to draw in the gas...............

Just place your thumb over the spark plug hole, you should feel significant pressure. Kinda watch where the plug wire is. Don't ask how I came up with that tip...................

How are you checking the compression? The kohler engines have an automatic compression release to help with starting. I don't think you get full compression until 650 rpm. Are you not getting gas to the carburetor or after? The carburetors on them are easy to clean and rebuild.
