630 and 350 Hydraulics

Hello! I have the 2 tractors listed in the subject line (both with Tripl-Range and Eagle Hitch) that both have the same problem. When I got them, they were both full of hydraulic fluid, and I was able to use the Eagle Hitch arms. Then, especially when I was using the 630, the fluid started leaking onto the floorboards. Now, the arms are in the down position and moving the levers doesn't do anything. What should I check, fix, or replace?! Thanks, Lee

Sounds like your low on oil. First thing is to find where the oil on the floorboards is coming from. You are leaking fluid out of a gasket or shaft seal it sounds like? Pressure wash the oil off and add some hyd oil, run the tractor, possibly just sitting/running and look for the source of the leak.

Read over the reply by Joe WA. He detailed what you should be looking for.

Thanks for the information! I checked the discussion from last week and will check the piston assembly first.

Have a good weekend!

Oil is coming out of the breather vent from being over full from the 3pt piston leak. As ACG says JoeWA has the fix detailed so I won't repeat it. Very common problem on 430/530/630 and late hundreds small tractors.
