I have a 1952 DC 4 with eagle hitch 1 remote and was wondering if it would have draft control when using a 3 point plow.I have a 2 bottom Ford plow and was wondering if I could plow with it.Thanks for any replies.Ron

No, the eagle hitch DC tractors do not have any type of draft control. They have position control only. The geometry of the eagle hitch and the mast of the plow work together to allow the plow to hold an almost constant depth. You must adjust the plow to match the tractor just like with a trailer plow. However, a DC is a 3-plow tractor and should have no problem pulling a 14" or 16" 2-bottom ford plow, if the tractor is running right.
Also, the eagle hitch setup works best if you use the original upper mounting point on the tractor, and the original length top link. To make this work, you will have to alter the mast on the ford plow so that the plow sits level in the furrow with the top link in the middle of its range of adjustment.

All of my DCs with eagle hitch have leakage in the hyd system and will not hold a hyd load at any position.

My two BER plows, made for the eagle hitch, each have a gage wheel for depth control. I have to rely on the gage wheel for depth control. I will be surprised if your DC4 can plow good without a gage wheel on the plow.

The eagle hitch has no swing feature which greatly aids steering the tractor. The BER Case plows have that feature built into the plow. The eagle hitch does not match Category 2 and may not hook to a Category 1 plow. Your two bottom Ford plow may be Category 1.

Good luck with your endeavor.
