Leveling Chisel Plowed Corn Stalks

I have not been in a hurry to plant corn yet as or soil temps remain in the low 40's. There is some corn planting occurring in this area. To fulfill my urge to get out of the shop for a day I hooked up the disc and leveled some chisel plowed ground. It is quite dry here so the disc worked good in these conditions. In a area where my son-in-law pushed snow in the field this winter I hit ice and frost while discing. Rod.

Jeez Rod, I'm glad you put that picture up! Everybody around here has mounted harrows on their disc except me. I pull a 30' Kewanee disc and a 7 section wheel drag behind the 2470. Getting rain this morning, waiting to spread fert. as it was toooo windy yesterday.

Rod, That 1370 is sure one great lookin' tractor you have. Looks like the disc did a great job for you. No field work yet up my way. Had light rain the last 2 days. Thanks for sharing the nice photos with us.

Kurt we had about .3 in of rain overnight. I am sure field work will resume tomorrow around here. I might start planting corn Sat or Sun just depends on how cold next weeks forecast is. Rod.

Beautiful looking land.

Can you see 6 miles? Somewhere I read that on perfectly flat land, the horizon is about 6 miles away. I think I even calculated that once to see how far you can see, using an average persons' height of approximately 6 feet.
