Here is the update on my '41 JD A slant dash that I am converting to an unstyled A with Electric Start, the 6 speed hi/lo, and lights. It has been a swiftly moving project, surprisingly, after finding that a lot of the transmission components needed to be replace, along with nearly all of the engine components (Crank, rods, pistons, block, rings, magneto components, governor housing, etc.). The reason it was parked: because it had a bad rod knock, and it had been opened up and discovered that it "needed a rod". Well, it definitely needed a rod, among everything else!
I know it is not Case colored, but it will look mighty nice all painted up next to the '41 SC! I had it outside of the garage today took a couple pictures, and borrowed the plug wires off of my SC to get some spark to the plugs. Managed to get it to POP POP a few times, but not running yet. I had to stop because the ring gear on the flywheel ate through my glove and gave me a wicked blister in my palm.
