930 Powersteering Level?

Wondering if anyone can tell me how much fluid is supposed to be in the Powersteering reservoir on my 930? Doing a full service and opened the cap and no dipstick! Measured it with a ruler and there is about 1 1/4 inches of fluid. I'm guessing that is low and probably the reason it squeals when turning tight? Belt seems tight enough. Thanks for the help, Dan

Probably about 1" from the top. Check to see if the pulleys are in good shape and the belt is good and not running in the bottom of the groove. Will squeal if the fan pulley and p.s. are wore out.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply. Since the tractor is new to me, I'm gonna replace fluid with Hytran and replace filter too. Once I get the fluid level correct I will try it and go from there. Dan

This is what I did. Factory should have done it in the beginning Also I changed the fan pulley to a 830 pulley. Doesn’t squeal quite as much.

Jimmie, That is brilliant, I know Case figured that one would never need to add power steering fluid. lol But on my 411, you have to take the air breather tube loose, unlatch 4 hold downs and jockey the hood half way over the tractor to add fluid. I know, Fix the leaks. Its just a pain I must live with, just whining I guess. But nice job on your re-engineering. gobble
