Drilling oats today

I had an opportunity to get some CASE power in the field today. My 730, a neighbors drill, the DC and a harrow, a good couple of hours(only 6 acres). if you look carefully in the picture with the pickup you can see a neighbor going to town with big green iron. Mike

My dad lives 5 or 6 miles directly south of the former town of Marietta and a couple south of another former town of Luray. The railroad used to go to Melbourne from there, but that was a long time ago. He claims Marietta is the geographical center of the state, not State Center which must be about 8 miles west of Marietta.
Are you southwest of the geographical center? If I remember there was a Fitz family or 2 southwest of there.

Earl Oetker
A mile and a half north of Haverhill blacktop on Marsh. He has lived there about 84 years, born there and there all his life except 46 and 47 when in Army. You probably know each other as he likes to converse with anyone he runs into. I used to work for the Settle family north of you when in High School in the 70's and also the Goodmans. I am sure we know other people in common.
