Eagle Hitch Question

Does anyone have an Eagle Hitch D or DC with the curved draft arms? I think the part numbers are 4562AA and 4563AA. If I read the parts book correctly, these are just for the D and 4266AA and 4267AA are for the DC. As the JICCA technical expert on the D series I received an inquiry from a man who has a DC with the curved arms. My D has the straight arms which, as I said, are for a DC. Some pictures would help me answer his question. The only DC I know of in my area is 60 miles away; had I received his letter one day earlier, I could have looked at it as I was in the town where it is located that afternoon.

Tom,

All my DC's have the straight arms and my 52 D does not have an Eagle Hitch, but I do know a real nice gentleman who lives about 40 minutes from me who has a 52D with Eagle Hitch from the factory. I'd be willing to check it out if you'd like. Don

I have acquired several sets of SC and DC "curved" draft arms. Unfortunately, none of these were curved until after they left the factory. I would be interested in seeing a picture of factory-curved draft arms.

Tom,
I have a 53 DC4 with Eagle hitch. I beleive the arms are curved. I have them off right now. I am painting the DC4. I attached a picture. DB

Don, I'd appreciate it if it's not too much trouble. I had a friend check the one in my areas yesterday as he was at an auction at that place; no report yet.

Yours has what I believe are correct for a D from the illustration and information in the parts book; (it only shows the straight arms and they are not round ones either.) Mine has the straight ones.

Tom,
My internet has been down this spring a lot. It is working again for now.
Here's a pic of my 1952 S Case with eagle hitch. It is hand written on the build card "Eagle Hitch" I believe the Eagle hitch was put at the factory in 1955 when this tractor was sold. It came from a Case dealer in Algoma Wisconsin who said he special ordered the S with eagle hitch. According to my S and D series parts books the eagle hitch parts are the same for both series. A lot of the eagle hitch parts are different from the S and D to the SC and DC tractors. The drawbar frame, draft arm brackets, lift rods and draft arms are all different.

The first pic is my '52 S, the second is a SC/DC arm next to the S arm. Both of my S arms have been bent slightly and need straightened about an inch or so.

I have seen 2 DI's with eagle hitch parts the same as the SC/DC tractors. These DI's had lift rods that were welded making me think maybe someone had put SC/DC parts on them.
Hope this helps, Nick
