got started on spring grain planting here today, only got maybe 20 acres in but it was a start

Ground looks to be in nice shape Tom, what were you planting. I have not had time to even get my tractors and planter out of the shed yet. Been a little corn planted around here, guys just testing equipment. Son in Law that does terrace work says there is still 2-3 ft of frost in the ground yet. Rod.

What kind of openers does that drill have? What are the large press wheels for? Most of the older drills around here had single disk openers, the newer ones are double disks and they had small press wheels if any. Mostly seeded oats and alfalfa though. Mike

it has double disc openers, called a press drill out here they were made in hoe style or disc, this is the main type of drill used here with the full packer wheels I guess its a "plains" thing

Tom great pictures. The ground and planting looks great. What are you planting now? Still wet and cold here but it is warming up, looks like we will start the end of April
