This Flip-up Hood Does Not Make Servicing Easy!

The entire top engine accessary frame and hood are fastened to the rear of the cly head. Everything above cly head including hood has to be removed to replace a head gasket. Looks like a three man job just to get the d@mn hood off. To just pull injectors would test your religion. I just finished a overhaul on a 1370, and as terrible as that hood lay out is I think its a step above this. The engine is CNH, I assume this is a Red NH tractor that has the Versatile name. Rod.

typically I think they are IVECO engines as that is the engine Fiat owns. That is why when Fiat NH purchased Case-IH they dropped CDC (consolidated Diesel Corp) that Case started with Cummins...

Wouldn't it be fun to stand over the engineers with an attitude adjustment tool while they do the job just once?

It's a 456 cu. Ford engine. They switched to Cummins in 06 or 08
