Finally got the tires all changed and the front end and rear wheels reset. I couldn't stand it anymore and broke down and powerwashed the old girl. I cant believe how it cleaned up!!! The guy I bought it from said it had always been shedded, and now I believe it!!! It's amazing how 30 years of dirt and grease can actually save the paint. Just had to share.

The right tires made a HUGE difference Paul.. and CKRICHARD... The new seat is already in the mail and should be here by Friday. I already bought paint and sandpaper for the rear rims..

Try tranny fluid and a rag on the paint. That's what I did on my 930 to get rid of oxidized paint. Painted the rims and put new tires on the front, I don't think it had seen a shed since it left Racine, but is respectable now.

Just a question about the hood of the tractor. Is it the propper one for the tractor? I noticed the mismatched heidth where it meets the dash, and the Cumfort King decal seams to be crammed to the very rear on the black stripe.
I've never been around one, but that decrepency caught my eye.
I wish it was setting in my yard. HeHe

I wouldn't have guess that was the same tractor as the one below. I don't think Ive ever seen an LP comfort king. Nice one.

That's a damn nice looking ole tractor!

U did good!!!

Maybe I need to follow U around next time I want to buy a tractor. U do a better job than I when it comes to finding ole tractors

On the 30 series we used to replace the aircleaner bowl, paint the back rims like casecollect said, fix the seat and of course wash and wax and you would get a buyer if she was sound.
She looks good
