Surgery Update !

Some of you have wondered how things are going since my shoulder surgery. Met with Doc today, and the repair of the torn tendon looks good, but the 6" tear in my bicep was unrepairable, and I'll be limited in use when lifting something heavy - barley pop isn't one of them Thank God!. Therapy started too, with a few OMG's, plenty of - you want me to do what?, and a few words that I'm sure God didn't even know existed. Still not able to lift anything with left arm for another 6 to 8 weeks. Got home and headed to the corncrib to tell the VAC I was sorry, and that he couldn't come out to play yet. Either the radiator has a leak or he was crying. LOL!! Loren, you better send my order soon, I'm gonna need all the sweetness I can get to keep my temper down. Hope everyone has a good spring, and planting gets done on time, I'll be watched from the sidelines.

yeah ain't it fun. Had three tendons repaired on Jan. 30 myself. One got a graft also. Exercises only for me. Sure am behind. Tom

I had two tendons repaired on Feb 3. Still doing stretches until Apr 28 when I start muscle exercises. Graduated from a shoulder immobilizer to being able to lift a cup of tea after six weeks. I just moved up to barley pop. Started driving my standard shift truck. A real chore to not move the shoulder. Managed to pick up a couple of toys. Will post later. After 30 years of pain this 6 months off will be definitely be worth it.

Mike glad to here you are doing better. It will take time to get strong again. Keep us up dated and I can come and take the tractors for rides if needed. Jerry from Ohio
