1410 trans oil question ....

On a David Brown (Case) 1410 tractor (12-speed tranny with a reversible shaft single-speed PTO) ..... I see a "transmission oil" capacity of something like 13 gallons. Is that the same oil type (all-trans or whatever they call it) for everything, ie. transmission, differential, PTO, hydraulics ? And if it is, am I correct in assuming that the oil in all of those is all together in the same system (and not separated)?

Brakes/final drives are separate, but use the same oil. Make sure it has "wet brakes" listed on the label.

Is it the 12 speed powershift(4 speed on dash), or a syncro(2 sticks between your legs). If a powershift, I would spring for a premium oil from Case.

It's the Synchro tranny (3-speeds, four ranges, two gear sticks). So this would all be the universal-type oil then, maybe called All-Tran or Hy-Tran, not sure of the exact wording? The PTO is single speed, reversible shaft type.

..... then I can maybe pick your brain a bit as we go through this (currently getting into some clutch repair).

Where abouts do you hang your hat? We are in central Alberta (Canada)
