Anyone have current paint codes for L, C gray? Nothing on this site and JICCA only shows a Case number.

John Saeli has it, see link below.

Here"s what I found doing a search of this site:

Case Paint Number for LC Grey and a recipe for using Ditzler paint

PPG paint formula numbers from Old Abe News Fall 2001 edition

Another set of paint forumula numbers from March 2002

I got it from a Case dealer here in Australia. Could only buy it in
quart cans, and had to buy 4. Also had to wait weeks for it to come
in (probably from the US), but that was OK

Also have to have the right person on the parts counter who was
prepared to find the part number (I think it is B13017).

Hey Paul, don't know about the paint, but was wondering if you had brakes done at Rushmore Brake in Rapid City for your LA? Coming to the in-laws for Easter weekend and want to get new pads made for the 1170. Seems I asked once before. If I find where you are at, maybe a shooter??

Paul;
Last summer I painted a C rear end cover to hang on the wall, and found that the L,C greys were all over the color charts. Many looked more like RC grey. I came up with something darker that I was really happy with. I looked at the can, but there are so many numbers on it that I will have to learn which one I need to send you. I will try to do some checking tomorrow between calves. DK

I had them done at Godfrey Brake, Rapid City. Just off Omaha a couple of blocks west of Cambell. Stop by sometime when you get a chance.

Thanks for the help. Have you used the Case paint? I want a darker gray for sure. The few spots I've found under the flambeau are kind of a battleship gray.

What I used was a Nason #DS019IE. If it would help I could get my office manager to send a picture. DK

That's OK, I'll see what my paint supplier comes up with using those numbers. Definitely don't want an RC gray. Hope calving is going well; always a challenge in a SD spring.

I wanted to use acrylic urethane paint and I tried crossing one of the paint codes over to current Napa paint last summer and ended up with a color that was almost black!
I ended up using the darkest gray color that was a stock color on the Napa paint charts. It might have been called dark smoke gray? I was happy with that color.
