7110 magnum trams problem

My 7110 magnum 18 speed full power shift is stuck in high range and won"t come out. I can move it from park to forward but I have no low gears same in reverse. Full speed in reverse is not very safe!!

Any ideas what is locked and how to fix it?

If it is anything external there may be a problem with the forward-neutral-reverse cable (worn cable or linkage) perhaps. The clutch & FNR cable ends are covered by a tower at the valve. You need to determine which is which. DO NOT go adjusting the clutch cable. This sets trans. pressure. The trans. is divided into 2 sections, speed & the range. If you are not experienced with these tractors you may be best off to have your dealer check it out.

Ya all if the sudden. I started it one day this winter, let it warm up and pulled it out of park and put it in reverse and it was in full speed reverse. I moved it into forward and the same thing high speed. Not sure what exact gear it goes into but it is definitely in high range.
This happened a few months ago when it was cold so I just parked it and used my other tractor till now and it started to warm up.

Cold weather can cause a lot of weird things. If it were me and it started all of the sudden, I would either get it in a warm shop or wait till it warms up. Or get it on a Dyno to warm the trans fluid up and then try.
