Running Case 2290 Hydraulic Remote in Constant?

I have a Case 2290 and am wondering if its possible to lock the hydraulic remote levers in constant in the forward position to run a vacuum planter? Is there some sort of a clip that goes in the lever slot?

I ran a planter for 20 years on my 2290, used a 3/8 pan head screw, put it in the lever slot and put a nut on top. Run the lever forward so when you want to stop the hyd. motor you push the lever into the float position. I also had a flow control on that valve so I could change my plant population on the go.

We always cheated with the 2594 running an air drill by using a tarp strap. I was told the detent could be adjusted up to hold it but am not sure. One thing that we did do was run a rod through the floor to the flow control so it can be adjusted from the cab. Hopefully some one a bit smarter will chime in or when I get to the service manual this weekend I will look into it more.
