Yeah sure. Friend of the family was a die-hard Massey Guy. He owned an 1100, 1130, 1135, 1150, and an 1155.

To my knowledge the 1100 never had a wrench turned on it of any kind. The 1130 had complete rear end issues and was eventually fixed but traded off on the 1135 which also had to have the rear end totally rebuilt just like the 1130 tractor before it. The 1150 also ended up needing some rear end work but it was not as major as the 1130 or 1135 repairs in comparison. I do not think the 1155 required any rear end work, but he did not own it all that long either before selling out either.

Hi When i posted this comment on the massey board in reply to somebody asking about buying an 1135 or 55 you should of heard the rude replies, that there was never any problems with those series trannys and I knew nothing. Funny thing was at the time I just re built one. all the wreckers had them in with same problems. I ended up with used parts from 5 or more tractors to make mine work. The yard I had worked in had 20 >or more in a line with smashed rear end components. That being 1 yard tells a tale to, the other yards had quite a few as well. Guess they are not as perfect as guys think L.O.L.
Regards Robert
