did you check the convertor fluid level? that's the first place I would check, the 580L I had would burn out relays once in a while but not just from setting

been 7 years or so since I had my "L" should be like my 580E though, on the RH side of engine around starter area should be a dipstick, engine off she will read over full, check idling with shuttle lever in "N" pull stick wipe off then reinsert and check, I use only Case Hy-Tran fluid, dipstick may have checking instructions stamped in it as well
