fixing the hydros on a 530

my hydro fluid is over filling the rearend. going to guess its the lift cylinder leaking. the guy i got the tractor from said alot of the old timers just run a hose from drain plug to drain plug. hydros to rearend to keep the fluid at the same level. i see how it would work but want to know if anyone has seen or done this. if so what oil do you use then?

Why not just fix the seals on the 3pt piston, it's not a big deal. Do your arms drop down with weight on them indicating a leaking piston? Your problem could be shaft seals also

Well, here in central NY we have a fellow who has run a hyd shop for 50 years. There are a couple of different configurations of seals and pistons in those tractors. He had the ones for my DOM 430 on the shelf. CNH is way out of the ballpark on these parts.
