I am going to tear down my pto this weekend to fix the leak from the sleeve/o ring. What else should I be looking for when I get in there?

The input shaft bushing is good? The drum carrier isn't worn? The 2nd idler can be updated to heavy duty to prevent the key from shearing under heavy use. The pins are tight in the shift collar? If you would like some help 715-505-8786 Eric

Thanks for your reply! I have trans serial no 16209956. This is the later version. Does it include the updated parts? The parts book only calls out the After S/N 10270783 and prior s/n 10270783 part numbers but does not offer any other updated numbers. I think that this means that I have the updated parts already...your thoughts? Can I tell by a visual inspection?

Karl, if I remember right Case did update the key. It went from a 3/16 half moon to a 1/4 half moon key. Link Imp here has the shaft cut the entire length for a 3/8 key stock. This takes care of it. Guess I should ask them again its been a while since I have gotten one too. Also make sure the bearing race on the end of the drum shaft is tight also.
