Headed East on I-90 and soon entered Minnesota. As evidenced by their welcome sign, I observed that somebody had the fore thought to make their southern border with Iowa nice and flat compared to all the jaggedy borders on the rest of it. A pretty handy deal when you want to make a cutout of your state and prop it up for a sign. We went East as far as Albert Lea. They just got 7-8 inches of snow that afternoon. Cars in the ditches here and there and roads were slippery. We decided to head south to get out of the snow but we stopped at a gas station first and I noticed this flyer on the bulletin board. Looks as if the Minnesotans don't wait for nice weather to parade their tractors. Maybe we could all learn from them that if you can't beat Old Man Winter, then you just as well learn to live with him! But I do have to say that in S.Dak., we would at least wait till after noon to go ride when the temps reach a balmy 20* vs. 9:00 am. when its still below -0. I don't know if those boys are that much tougher or just not as smart??? JK JK
