I am having issues with hydraulics on my 530 case draft o matic. I have a loader on my tractor an it works fine but sort of slow and my 3 point doesn't work 90% of the time every once in a while it will lift but not very often. I have noticed that it keeps pumping hydraulic fluid in to the rear end. Any suggestions. Thanks!

the syptoms you have ,,../indicate the rock shaft piston seal has failed ,, remove the seat and tranny cover ,, My advice is to take it to a hydro shop ,, Because that seal is difficult to reinstall in the barrel without damaging it ,,, Search Archives here for more info ,,,...

Can I remove the rockshaft piston assembly and take it to a shop or do you recommend I take the whole tractor to a shop?also my tag for my serial number is gone off the dash. Is there any other way to find out the s/n.

Luke

It's really not that hard to remove the assembly, or replace the seals for that matter.

Once the serial number plate is lost, there is no way to find the exact serial number. If you can post a few pictures, we can get you within a serial number range....usually a couple of years in length...

Is there any pictures you need in particular. I wasn't sure if I needed it to find the rights parts. I am also having a govenor issue with it so I was gonna replace the govenor assembly but didn't know about the serial number

No, just couple pictures of the sides showing engine compartment and front end. A picture of the dash and one from the rear.

true ,, except after the 3rd time in as many yers of failure makin this repair ,, I decided I was not doin something rite and took it to the experts ,,.

Jim, I meant no disrespect. It sounds like your luck with the rocker arm piston is consistent with my success rate with the seals on the brake shafts..... I've actually had very good luck with several rocker arm pistons, but have yet to get one of the brake seals installed properly the first time...

none taken , joe ,,. round here though ,sometimes,, my repairs have to be done only twice to make it a lasting repair ,, lol
