Hi everyone. The indicator on the tranny pressure gauge runs in the lower part of the green it has since we bought the tractor. Tractor shifts and pulls fine. We use hy-tran and Case filters. Could the low pressure reading be a sign of possible powershift trouble to come? TIA Keith

I have had my 2470 for 20+ years and it has always run on the bottom of the green also. Shifts and pulls good. I shift to the speed I want and then put the implement in the ground, thinking it saves on the power shift. I have been told the hyd. pumps are discontinued.

casecollector we have had the hydraulic pump rebuilt on our 2590. Theres 2 places around here that rebuils them. I was somewhat concerned about the low transmission pressure reading. Thanks for the reply

I have two Case 1370, and thats almost the same transmission. The pressure gauge is maybe not that accuracy. If you want to know for sure, I think you should connect a external more accuracy pressure gauge.
My two tractors does not show the exaxtly same pressure, but I think that depands on the accuracy in the pressure gauge.
But if it shows different pressures depending on the gear, I guess something is wrong.
