while looking at 4 sale tractors on this web site i got a kick out of the Really good shape 560 4 sale. , it worth a look , lol.

Ok, I will bite, what is up about an old 560.

My friend has one of those 560 gas tractors.
Great looking old tractor, some say the differentials were weak, maybe so for the higher hp diesels, but his old tractor has been a good tractor. It may have been back in for adjustment years ago, who knows,

Probably no worst than my little to-35 Ferguson with leaky transmission seals or a ford 9000 or a case o matic or an old a.c. jumping out gear on every hill it meets. MF driven in low multipower for years as the trans will no longer shift to high range.

Bet JD is not so proud of the 2020 maybe other JD models, but no one I ever knew could afford a JD so l know nothing about them.

probably all makes built one or two over years they would like to take back.

to maxwell I a m not saying anything bad about a 560 i love thoes old farmall ,just. what people call great shape ,i dont want to offend ih people i am a drector ky chapter 24 ih collector club . great shape tractors come in every color ,take a look , it needs totally restored or parted ,yet listed in great shape. sorry tom.

Now, I understand your post,

I am from KY and did not graduate 1st in my grade school class,

would sure like to borrow my friends old 560 with a good set of 3x14's plows to break up my truck patches this spring. bet that old tractor could sure roll some dirt.

Still a few of those good old 560's making hay around here, but yes, I guess "good shape" has different meaning to different people. lol.

maxwell the ih winter convention is this friday and sat at butler ky state park. to cold to plow. come on down make new friends ,butler park is in Glasco we need new members with new ideas ,I live in lancaster and have all the letter series except the b. also a 450 diesel and 706 also several case tractors love all colors except green evan. have 1 of thoes a 730 diesel. tom

The 2010 was the bad one. The 2020 was just the opposite.

I knew it had a 20 in the number, my neighbor had one and he had lots of trouble with it, am sure it must have been a 2010 series.

As I said most folks around my home did not have JD as there was not a dealer close by.
But man o man did they hit a home run with the 3020 and 4020 series.
I almost bought a little 1010 JD narrow front. Was it a good tractor? It got hot when I took it for a test drive so l left on the lot and later bought a D 14 AC

1010 wasn't much better then the 2010. Problem was neither tractor shared the technology of the two bigger ones. Most of the engineering for the New Generation was concentrated on the 3010, 4010, and 5010. That's why the 1010 and 2010 suffered and later JD applied the "Clean sheet" approach to the 1010/2010 successors and that's when they came up with a winner in the 1020 and 2020.
