What is this used for??

I have this CASE CAS-1464 "Sending Unit Tester" with no paperwork. I have no idea what it was used for. Anybody help? Anybody need it?

Ive seen that tool with ford printed on it also. Test gage functions and sending unit operation. Not much use in the modern automotive repair market. All these old tractors outlived the old trucks and cars. Still awful good in that field
