UDLX MM, $175,000, Really!

Just looking through the photo ads and ran across the MM. Are they getting that kind of money for those tractors? They are neat, but so is a BK 1470 and with the difference I could build a NEW shop to rebuild and store it in, Rod.

This is the equation that tractor collectors live by; and that tractor is a collector's tractor.
Still, I wouldn't pay that much for that tractor. It seems to me to be more of a status symbol than anything else.

Rod, I thought they were selling for much more than that before the market took a dump. They were the first cab tractor with a radio and heat plus a second seat and a 40mph road gear. I have a few MM's too but at $175,000 I could build a new barn and fill it and still have money left over!

That is alot of money. Ther are those with a rural farm upbringing who have made it big. Money is not a problem. They are the ones who could pay that for that tractor and will. Of course, we used to buy candy bars for a nickle and a soda pop for a dime. And a new car for 3000$. So inflation figures in also. just a couple random thoughts. gobble

I agree, that is alot of money. I believe I heard of one in the past that brought that kind of money, but as stated that was before things took a dump so to speak. I think average would be around $125,000-150,000, but if you ask enough you can allways come down. I have all MMs but wouldnt mind having a couple other brands. I think even if I had a few million dollars I wouldnt buy one, just to own one. They are really neat but I want something I can get dirty...

Ah the memories, in the early sixties at the corner store if you bought 5 full size snickers candy bars for a quarter they gave you a sixth bar for free. Rod.
