I took the plunge. 4000 hrs machine, looks good but like any 20+ yr old machine needs some repairs. Has had a lot done already including replacement of the 8.3 that has been know to blow in these combines. Now who do I pay my dues to? Rod.

Rod, we just bought one too this year. Its a 1990 model. The dealer split a very large repair order with us before we bought it. It works really good now. LOL. I cant afford a new one of any color at the moment,so these older machines do fine. Does your have the specialty rotor? It makes a difference in beans.

Yes it does, that is what I was told also that beans seem to flow through better. Rod.

Does anyone else see anything different in the picture.? Very Clever Rod !! Have a friend close that has a 1660, runs like a top and never stops. Good Luck and enjoy.

Mike

I was told this is a long sieve machine, but without a short and long machine sitting side by side I would not know how to tell the difference. Rod.

I think 1990 was the first year of the 8.3 CDC engine, also the only long sieve is the 1666 and later.I had a 1992 1660 and the sieve in it was the same as my old 1460.
