Case Easy Ride seat

I am working on a friends 530CK with the easy ride seat. I am trying to replace the rubber spring devices but I am not having much luck removing the grooved pins (#18)that hold them to the support shaft. I have soaked them with PB Blaster and wailed away with a hammer and punch to no avail. The unit is too awkward to get in to my press and heat doesn"t seem to be a good idea with all the old rubber in the area.

Any ideas???

You could do what I did and send the whole mechanism to the folks in Minnesota who sell those rubber springs and/or have them reinstalled on your metal parts. They took it all apart for me and reinstalled it with great success. I appreciate their work every time I ride my VAC14 tractor. If you can't find their contact information, just drop me an email and I'll try to look it up for you. Others here may have that information, too, since that's where I got my contact information a few years ago. The folks in Minnesota are really nice and friendly as well as very reasonably priced. Good luck with your seat repair.
