Working on putting the 2394 together

Spent the day putting Jeff's 2394 engine back together. Only had a few dozen problems. Kit came without the o-ring that goes in the oil pump and with one bad sleeve o-ring, so that meant a trip to the dealer first. Dropped a main bearing bolt and took it in the nose, gave some blood for that. Also learned that torquing head bolts to 210 ft pounds will warm you up even in the 35 deg temps. Over all it went good, ran out of time when I had the heads torqued so will finnish tomorrow. Took some pics if anyone wants to see it I'll post them tomorrow.

Better than dropping the main cap on your nose, which is better than dropping the oil pump on your nose. You have to look on the brighter side of things, it can always be worse.

Jon,
Was the bad sleeve o-ring on the sleeve that was not staying seated? Sounds like you are about ready to put fire in the holes. Aparently your dealer had the injectors you needed also.
Don't forget that you will have to work up a sweat a second time to retorque the heads, and readjust the valves, when up to operating temp.

Yeah, aren't you just a bundle of good news this morning. And before my coffee too. LOL Yeah, if there are no problems she should be running this afternoon. Got to visit the sawbones this morning tho. Hopefully it will be done today, gotta hit the road tomorrow.
